A listed junior mining company with an active drilling programme is searching for a new CFO to join its London team. The CFO will be responsible for the group’s corporate and operational financial matters, interacting closely with the technical teams based overseas and supporting the business in capital raising and future investment. As the right-hand person to the CEO and chief support to the Board, this is an exciting opportunity to join a young company with ambitious growth plans.
The CFO will lead the financial planning and management of a multi-faceted exploration program to generate new resources, including business partnering with technical staff at site. This person will be entrusted with designing and implementing the financial strategy and policy framework for the company, to meet organisation’s strategic objectives and plans. Alongside the CEO, there will be future requirements for capital raising, securing new investors and building out the company’s equity story.
There is a small finance team in place whose future development needs will need to be managed in addition to future recruitment requirements to ensure that the group’s growth plans can be matched by suitable headcount being in place. On offer will be a basic salary commensurate to an experienced CFO within the junior resource sector and complemented with annual bonus and stock options upon joining (vesting over a 3-year period).
We are searching for an experienced CFO / Finance Director from the mining / natural resources industries, ideally with listed company knowledge who can join within the next 2 months. Applicants will need to be resilient, have strong experience in managing multiple demands, be adaptable and strong, and formulate fact-based opinions and reports to ensure the board can make informed decisions.
