Group Accounting Manager
This business is a specialist financial services broker focused on clients with complex and/or challenging needs. Launched in recent years, they have undergone rapid growth and are currently undergoing a significant programme of work with several new solutions/platforms due to be delivered in 2021. A key part of the programme is to integrate a diverse set of solutions/platforms that are being rolled out as part of the programme. This role will be key to ensuring that the various component parts are integrated in a seamless, flexible, and secure manner.
Main duties and responsibilities will include the production of relevant and timely financial information to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Help write and develop accounting procedures, relevant controls and KPI reporting (e.g. segregation of duties, balance sheet reconciliations) and the production of statutory/audited accounts and regulatory returns. You will also have management of cash including but not limited to banking and FX risk identification and mitigation as well as involvement in the production of capital call model and board documentation.
The role will also have a systems change element to the role where you will be responsible for co-ordinating day-to-day maintenance of the group legal entity structure and for the delivery of finance change projects. This will involve ensuring the Workday systems maintained to maximise benefits and deliver successful implementation for any additional systems. System and process design and implementation required to support a controls-based audit by FY21. The remaining part of the role will be to participate in relevant Committee meetings, acting as deputy for the GFC in their absence.
In order to be considered for this role you must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with a track record of effective day-to-day delivery within a finance function of a regulated business, ideally across multiple global locations. You must have experience in relevant reporting/accounting, tax, FX/Rate and Treasury/Banking products and further experience in M&A and financing or transactional skills including the delivery of investor returns would be hugely beneficial
