Group Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Controller to join a Multi Site Hospitality Company in Central London. Reporting into the CFO you will manage a team of 10 including 5 qualified accountants. This is a broad role that covers internal and external reporting, FP&A, Tax and Treasury. 

Key elements of the role include:

• Driving monthly, quarterly and year-end close activity to tight deadlines, ensuring highly accurate reporting
• Monthly delivery of agreed KPI and dashboard reporting
• Business partnering with senior stakeholders in the head office team both on strategic projects and day-to-day delivery of objectives, assisting with monthly forecast and annual budget preparation as well monthly performance reporting
• Directing the team’s completion of over 15 sets of UK statutory accounts and 1 set of accounts for an overseas entity
• Lead role in driving the delivery of financial analysis required to support quarterly strategic business meetings with investors
• Ownership of the group’s budgeting, forecasting, and 5 year plan process (including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow), supporting the group to achieve its strategic goals by both designing and delivering financial and non-financial insight and analysis
• Ensuring the group remains compliant with the full range of applicable taxes (supported by a dedicated Tax Manager)
• Review of quarterly VAT returns, managing the UK tax compliance and provisioning process
• Management of relationships with banks/bondholders, cash collection partners and merchant acquirer relationships

The CFO is looking for someone with the following profile in order to be considered for the role:

• Strong experience of leading and developing group finance teams
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified, Big 4 experience preferred and excellent academics
• 6+ Years Post Qualification Experience in Industry
• Strong IT Skills, including MS Excel (advanced), SAP/equivalent and data warehousing systems
• Experience of statutory accounts for multiple entities (including consolidations) will be highly desirable
• Hospitality and Leisure experience desirable but not essential
