About the Role
Deputy Finance Director | PE-Backed Construction Business | West Yorkshire | c.£110k + Bonus + Benefits
We have been retained on an exciting Deputy Finance Director search on behalf of a growing private equity-backed business in West Yorkshire.
Supporting a highly regarded CFO, you will operate as the number two in finance, taking day-to-day ownership of the finance function whilst partnering with the Board on a range of strategic initiatives. These will include supporting the integration of future acquisitions, driving process improvements and helping prepare the business for its next phase of growth.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting
- Driving cash flow, working capital and financial controls
- Managing year-end audit and statutory reporting processes
- Delivering commercial insights to support business performance
- Leading and developing the finance team
- Supporting strategic projects, acquisitions and wider business transformation initiatives
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous experience within a manufacturing, construction, engineering or related environment. You will have a proven track record of financial leadership, strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Previous construction and private equity experience would be advantageous, although not essential.
