About the Role
Financial Controller | London | Hybrid (4 days office) | £100-120k plus bonus and package
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to join a leading international alternative investment manager as Financial Controller within its London-based Corporate Accounting team.
Working as the number two to the Head of Finance, you'll take ownership of financial control across a complex global group structure spanning more than 50 entities. You'll be responsible for group reporting, consolidations, statutory accounts, audit management, treasury, tax compliance and shareholder reporting, while partnering closely with FP&A, fund finance, compliance and senior leadership teams across multiple jurisdictions.
This is far more than a traditional financial control role. With the finance function undergoing significant transformation, you'll play a key role in driving automation, process improvement and the future operating model of the finance team. It's an opportunity to gain high visibility, influence senior stakeholders and help shape the direction of a growing business.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant, ideally trained within a Top 20 practice, with post-qualified experience in financial accounting or financial control within a complex group environment. Experience within financial services, private equity, alternative investments or another regulated sector would be beneficial. Strong technical accounting skills, commercial awareness and a passion for improving processes are essential.
