About the Role
HedgerWay are currently working with a global PE Backed organisation in the recruitment of a Group Finance Manager based in Central London.
The client is the market leader in their sector and and has a sustained record of profitability and global expansion, operating across 35+ countries.
This is a key role responsible for delivering accurate financial and statutory reporting, improving finance processes, and supporting a fast-growing global organisation. You will work closely with central, regional, and local finance teams, ensuring compliance with IFRS and driving continuous improvement across the accounting function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Control
- Manage financial and statutory reporting requirements across the Group
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS
- Oversee trial balances, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of central entity accounts
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate year-end and ad-hoc audits with external auditors
- Deliver audit-ready financials with minimal adjustments
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance across entities
Process Improvement
- Drive automation and efficiency across accounting processes
- Improve systems and reporting capabilities (including finance systems and controls)
- Reduce manual processes and support transition to a controls-based audit
Business Partnering
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions
- Support acquisitions, due diligence, and integration of new entities
- Collaborate with Group Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and regional finance teams
Treasury & Tax
- Oversee central treasury accounting and transactions
- Prepare tax reporting packs and liaise with Group Tax
- Support development of treasury systems and controls
Team Leadership
- Line manage and develop an Assistant Group Accountant
- Coach and mentor team members to build a high-performing function
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and have c.2 years’ post-qualification experience in a large global organisation.
They are looking for someone with strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience and has had exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
