My client is a group of innovative, entrepreneurial businesses investing in the people, ideas and industries that will help change the world. Their aim is to have an impact in everything they do and to make a vital contribution to the UK economy by helping people, companies and institutions generate wealth. I am currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join their every growing finance team who will look after their expanding portfolio of Solar and Wind assets across a number of international locations.
This Financial Accountant will be responsible for the quality of the international management accounts and financial information and will spend a high proportion of your time managing the performance of the external accounting teams. This will include supporting and improving information flows between teams, managing the quality of their outputs and establishing appropriate controls. You will also have responsibility for the financial reporting of the institutional and listed funds and this will involve calculating and forecasting distributions and assisting with the reporting to key investors. There will be an emphasis in the role for working closely with the commercial asset managers and managing costs against budgets, assisting with quarterly valuation of the funds, managing SPV level audits and reporting financial performance f the portfolios at the monthly director meetings.
In order to be considered for this role you must be a recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with relevant experience working in a similar role, ideally with exposure to working with renewable energy investment assets and the understanding of fund accounting and fund structures. You will need to be a highly organised individual who is able to work to tight deadlines and communicate clearly with stakeholders across a business and be comfortable working in a fast paced, every changing environment.
