A well established, central London based Investment Management business with ambitions to continue growing are looking for an experienced qualified Commercial Financial Controller to join their dynamic finance team on a maternity cover basis. Reporting to the Finance Director, the role holder will join part of the leadership team and will play a key part in helping to shape the future strategy of the team and the business.

You will have senior oversight of three qualified accountants and will work closely with a wide range of senior stakeholders and investment professionals across the business where you will be required to not only to deliver exceptional standards of finance support across the funds but provide commercially focused financial leadership to the investment business.. The role will require you to own the business P&L and cash flow, produce the monthly reporting packs including commercial insight and analysis which you will present at board meetings, oversee and support the budget process as well as managing and preparing investor allocations. As well as the day to day/month to month (which will never look the same!), the business have a number of technology based projects they are running and so there will be an opportunity to participate and add input into these.

This position will best suit an individual who is highly organised, capable of dealing with multiple workstreams and redefining processes efficiently and able to manage multiple deadlines and projects in an environment where parameters are ever changing, whilst also motivating the team to aspire to the same vision. You must be a qualified accountant with around 5-7 years post qualified experience (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) gained within a similar, commercially focused role within a financial services organisation.
