This world renowned hedge fund is currently expanding in Europe and as a result require several new Analysts to join their Luxembourg finance team.

The role offers exposure to the firm’s financial operations in Europe and an understanding of its operations across the globe.  You’ll work closely with the Finance and Ops team in managing the financial and regulatory reporting function, various regulatory and tax filings and payments, and other day-to-day activities of the group’s entities in Europe.  You’ll ensure compliance with regulations, contribute to fund launches and related entity incorporations and manage budgets and fund flows.  You’ll coordinate internally and with external service providers to prepare for and participate in board meetings and ensure compliance with all standard corporate governance procedures.

In addition you’ll have involvement in special projects such as supporting investment analysis and modelling, conducting historical analyses, reengineering and implementing process improvements You will have the opportunity to view the firm’s financial activities and learn about complex fund structures and transactions, and will enjoy substantial interaction with front office teams, Legal and Compliance, Management Reporting, Trade Accounting, Management Company Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and our software development teams.

Suitable candidates will have at least 3-5 years’ experience (more experienced candidates are also sought) working in an accounting firm, service provider or the accounting/reporting function within an investment/asset manager.  You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an analytical approach to problem solving as the position will require routine communication with employees at all levels of seniority and with external counterparties in multiple jurisdictions.

Spanish language skills are advantageous although not essential, as are other central European languages.
