THE ROLE
You’ll join the Finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. Your role will encompass a variety of business-critical tasks that ensure successful financial performance and sufficient funding capacity for the business. You’ll be in charge of the reporting, management and statutory accounts, financial planning and analysis for the business, including evaluation of strategic initiatives as well as playing a key role in the execution of major financing transactions and capital raisings to fund the company's business operations as well as lending activities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead/assist in regular external and internal financial information reporting including summary financials, business unit analysis, KPIs, commentaries and trend analysis
- Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and tax requirements including annual statutory audits
- Ensure continuous improvement and automation within the Finance function in order to build scalable processes and drive efficiency
- Support other departments across the company, maintain and monitor performance vs. budget across all functions
- Take charge of the company’s budgeting process, interact with key stakeholders, communicate constraints and challenge relevant assumptions to deliver a financial budget for the company to the wider leadership team and the Board of Directors
- Ensure the effective allocation of resources to key initiatives to drive the delivery of the financial plan and KPIs
- Working with Finance Managers and Analysts reporting directly into you to build and maintain financial models and produce long term forecasts for the company’s financial performance. Conduct and communicate analysis of business cases, sensitivities, risks and opportunities within the context of the company’s financial plan
- Play a key part in formulating the company strategy by assessing a variety of projects and decisions from a financial ROI perspective. Evaluate different cross-functional projects and prioritise them effectively
- Assist with execution process on major capital raising and funding transactions including project management, working with a number of advisers and investors, defining the structure and helping negotiate key terms of financing
- Prepare relevant materials and work with multiple internal teams to manage investor due diligence processes
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of relevant experience within Fintech, financial services, consulting or investment banking as well as accountancy
- Experience in leading and scaling an efficient and high-performing finance team
- Experience in financing structures and ongoing management and reporting for different funding and securitisation structures
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail with a high level of confidence in financial modelling and analysis
- Organised and able to prioritise effectively, managing multiple work streams within a fast-paced environment and working towards tight deadlines
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills that encompass clear, compelling communications both verbal and written
