International, high-growth Tech platform is looking for an excellent, highly technical Financial Controller to join its dynamic finance team, reporting to the Group CFO, with the purpose of implementing and maintaining best in practice US reporting, consolidations and tax processes and controls, and overseeing the activities of a team of c.11, based across various international jurisdictions, in readiness for an imminent US listing.


Elevate the finance function to the level of enabler of new business growth through timely and accurate reporting of the consolidated financial data. Ensure full compliance with all statutory, regulatory and tax filing requirements. Develop the most efficient corporate & tax structure.



  1. Ensure consistent, timely, accurate reporting
    1. Monthly financial close within [10] calendar days
    2. Quarterly financials EY review complete within [40] days 
    3. Audited annual financials (PCAOB) within [80] days
  2. Bring reporting standard to the level of a public company
    1. Get all reports correct from the first version
    2. Maintain up to date daily country results dashboards (ISL, UK, Russia)
  3. Support global roll-out through setting up corporate structure and financial infrastructure to enable cost efficient operations
  4. Streamline reporting process
    1. Review options for new consolidation system and finalise selection / action plan by 30 Sept 2021
  5. Tax planning and compliance
    1. Maintain up to date tax filings with all relevant regulatory authorities
    2. Optimise tax structure of the group, including transfer pricing study
  6. Elevate the standards of the finance Team and drive employee engagement
    1. Build the team that is able to effectively carry out the above activities
    2. Ensure that the knowledge and experience required to carry out the respective functions is adequately represented across the global and local teams to minimise dependency on individual team members and ensure continuity in the performance of the designated activities
    3. Increase in Global Finance employee engagement by Dec 2021




  1. Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent
  2. Proven experience in leading group consolidation and financial reporting functions at a senior level within public companies with international footprint
  3. PCAOB audit experience. Actual experience of preparing audited financials statements under PCAOB standards
  4. Tech sector experience. Useful to have but not essential
  5. Project management skills. Experience of coordinating the execution of complex projects with multiple parallel workstreams and multiple stakeholders against tight deadlines.
  6. Commercial sense. Understands the commercial and operational side of the business and relate it to the financial performance and metrics that are reported
  7. Teamwork. Reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish a collaborative working relationship
  8. Organisation and planning. Plans, organises, schedules and budgets in a clear, efficient, productive manner
  9. Attention to details. Ability to produce nicely formatted materials
  10. Proactivity. Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company.
  11. Sense of ownership. Takes responsibility for the task at hand and is willing to go outside the scope of the role in order to see the project to its logical conclusion
