Group Financial Controller

We are supporting a natural resources client in their search for a new Group Financial Controller to join their corporate office based in Central London (3 days per week in the office). Reporting into the Group CFO this represents an exciting opportunity to join an impressive, close-knit team within a well-funded, developing business which has grand ambitions.

As part of a broad ranging position you will have primary responsibility for leading a team in the delivery of financial reporting (IFRS), statutory accounting, and supporting the business in the annual budgeting / forecasting processes. As the key corporate point of contact for operational finance commitments, you will develop systems for monitoring cost control and project costs, interacting with and developing a team based overseas. With a keen eye for detail and first-rate communication skills, the Group Financial Controller will ensure detailed and timely financial information is provided to enable the Board and senior leadership team to make informed decisions.

Additional responsibilities will including leading a major ERP implementation, effective tax planning, treasury management and compliance, as well as providing accounting support for future corporate finance and development initiatives.

The business has fostered a strong culture of involvement and support and are focused on finding a new individual who is naturally proactive and focuses on team development as well as being able to think on one’s own feet. Interested candidates should be qualified accountants with significant post qualifying experience in industry (mining / Oil & Gas or other capital intensive industries) gained within a group finance function.
