About the Role

We’re partnering with a high-growth, entrepreneurial real estate investment manager to appoint a Fund Controller into their evolving finance function. Since launching a few years ago, the business has grown at pace — now managing over £1.2Bn assets, with a strong pipeline of new activity. Operating across direct real estate investment and credit, the firm has quickly carved out a reputation for being agile, opportunity-led, and forward-thinking. With a lean but experienced team, they’ve built a platform that combines institutional-quality governance with the creativity and energy of a start-up environment.

Operating across the UK and Europe, the platform is focused on direct real estate and credit strategies — with a strong emphasis on industrial assets — and is actively involved in developing innovative capital markets solutions in the real asset space.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on, broad role that will suit someone who thrives in dynamic settings, enjoys building out processes, and wants to make a visible impact within a flat-structured, collaborative business. You’ll be central to the day-to-day financial running of a key segment of the platform and will have regular interaction with senior leadership, asset managers, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of quarterly management accounts under IFRS and FRS 102
  • Ownership of quarterly investor reporting and statutory financial statements
  • Fund budgeting/forecasting – providing variance analysis on key movements
  • Overseeing audits and supporting year-end processes
  • Fund-level cashflow, payment processes and management fee calculations
  • Supporting asset acquisitions/disposals and liaising with investment and asset management teams
  • Working closely with external service providers and internal stakeholders across the platform

Your Background

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a few years post-qualification experience
  • Experience within real estate, REITs or listed fund environments highly desirable
  • Familiarity with year-end audits, financial modelling and tax processes
  • Strong Excel skills; Yardi or BI tools knowledge a plus
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach and a problem-solving attitude

Why Apply?

  • Join an ambitious business at an exciting stage of growth
  • Work alongside a well-regarded senior leadership team with a strong development ethos
  • Enjoy a broad, hands-on role with genuine career progression
  • Competitive compensation, strong benefits and a people-first culture
