About the Role

Our client is a well-capitalised international real estate investment and development business with a strong track record across complex, high-profile assets. It has built a reputation for shaping landmark destinations across major gateway cities, combining institutional-quality finance discipline with an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach to asset performance.

This opportunity sits within the finance team supporting a flagship mixed-use asset in London. The scheme brings together multiple income streams and operating dynamics across office, residential, retail and leisure, creating a highly visible and commercially interesting seat for a newly qualified accountant who wants to understand how an asset performs beyond the numbers alone.

For candidates looking to move from practice into industry, this is the type of role that offers both breadth and development. You will gain exposure to month-end and statutory reporting, but also spend time working with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand the leasing profile, tenant mix, void position and the underlying drivers of cash generation across the asset.

Reporting into an experienced Financial Controller, this is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join a sophisticated property platform in a role that combines technical accounting, analysis and stakeholder exposure. It should particularly appeal to candidates with a background in audit or financial reporting who have worked with real estate clients or have a genuine interest in the sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting for the asset.
  • Assist with statutory reporting, year-end processes and audit deliverables.
  • Own and analyse cash flow reporting, helping explain how operational activity impacts asset liquidity.
  • Work closely with non-finance stakeholders to understand lease terms, rent schedules, tenant movements and void assumptions.
  • Translate leasing and operational data into clear commercial insight for the finance team and wider business.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across the asset.
  • Monitor income performance and key working capital movements across the property.
  • Help maintain robust financial controls and reporting accuracy across a multi-dimensional asset.
  • Partner with the Financial Controller on ad hoc analysis, projects and decision support.
  • Build strong relationships with asset management, leasing, property management and other operational stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • Recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent).
  • Experience in audit, financial reporting or a similar finance role, ideally with exposure to real estate, property or asset-backed businesses.
  • Strong understanding of core accounting principles and an ability to produce accurate, high-quality reporting.
  • Commercial curiosity and an interest in how operational drivers influence asset performance and cash generation.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
