Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

The bank are a FTSE 250 listed institution with a substantial £multi-bn balance sheet across Investment Banking, Trading and Lending. Reporting to the GFC (who directly reports to the CFO), you will be responsible for all external reporting and technical accounting for the bank. The role has become available to expand the capacity and skills needed within the team to enable delivery of the increasingly complex demands of financial reporting from accounting standard setters, regulators and other stakeholders. You will have responsibility for satisfying the statutory financial reporting requirements for the group, including the consolidated reporting and prepare disclosure notes with respect to financial instruments. You will have the opportunity to develop and deliver technical training sessions and get involved in projects to drive automation and the implementation of new accounting standards.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must hold an accounting qualification gained whilst in Audit and ideally have audited financial services organisations to include consolidation or have moved from audit into a group reporting role where you have worked on consolidations. The bank operate a hybrid working model with 4 days in the office and 1 remote.
