About the Role

A leading player in the UK’s energy transition is seeking a Treasury Analyst to support the treasury and financial risk management function across a diverse portfolio of complex infrastructure and development projects. This business is at the forefront of the UK’s Net Zero journey, actively decarbonising key industrial sites and investing in long-term, sustainable power generation.

The Role

Reporting into the Treasury function and working closely with teams across investment, finance, and operations, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Term Debt Management

  • Support covenant compliance, model updates, and lender reporting

  • Prepare waiver requests and manage funding forecast updates

  • Monitor market benchmark transactions and interest rates

  • Assist with project finance support across the portfolio

2. Capital Allocation

  • Maintain and report key investment metrics across multiple development and operating projects

  • Work closely with the investment team on financial modelling and capital prioritisation

3. Financial Risk Management

  • Coordinate quarterly risk reviews

  • Support interest rate, FX and inflation exposure monitoring and hedging strategies

  • Monitor credit risk across supply chain counterparties

4. Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Day-to-day banking relationship management including KYC and account openings

  • Ensure strong controls over bank payments and cash reporting

  • Monitor and forecast liquidity requirements, both short- and long-term

  • Support the management of working capital facilities

5. Broader Financing Activities

  • Support trade finance activities including LCs and guarantees

  • Help manage intercompany financing structures and dividend flows

 

Your Background

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Strong academic track record, ideally with a technical or analytical degree

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability

  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, or capital-intensive industries is beneficial

  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience

  • Exposure to treasury, project finance or corporate finance is highly desirable
