We are supporting an exciting energy client in their search for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their corporate office based in Central London. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller this represents an opportunity to join a hugely impressive, close knit team within a well-funded, developing business which has grand ambitions.
As part of a broad ranging position, you will have primary responsibility for financial reporting (IFRS) , statutory accounting, and supporting the business in their joint venture commitments, monitoring spends and interacting with counterparties. With a keen eye for detail and first-rate communication skills, the Senior Financial Accountant will ensure detailed and timely financial information is provided to enable the Board and senior leadership team to make informed decisions.
From an operational perspective you will have the opportunity to support the project development team, challenging figures where appropriate and liaise with asset managers. Additional projects will include implementing and subsequent roll out of a new system, tax compliance and being a key point of contact for the group’ auditors, as well as providing accounting support for future corporate finance and development initiatives.
The business has fostered a strong culture of involvement and support and are focused on finding a new individual who is naturally proactive and focuses on team development as well as being able to think on one’s own feet. Interested candidates should be qualified accountants with significant post qualifying experience in industry (energy / mining / capital intensive industries) or a technically sharp, commercially minded Manager from an energy audit team. In addition, good knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting are required along with existing knowledge of joint ventures or the aptitude to pick this up quickly.
