HedgerWay is partnering a global consumer business looking to hire a Group Reporting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to sit within the Group Finance team which would suit an individual looking to obtain a broad range of experience across a central finance function. It requires excellent interpersonal and technical accounting skills, flexibility, and ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
The role will require liaising with senior management and cross functional teams to ensure that the reporting requirements provided are relevant and accurate as well as providing support and guidance as required on some exciting projects. A key part of the role is supervising and developing 2 group accountants.
The role you’d play:
- Taking ownership of preparation of the consolidated financial statements for two groups in accordance with FRS 102
- Lead process to prepare the statutory accounts for all UK subsidiaries in accordance with FRS 102 Accounting Standards
- Ownership of monthly and annual multi-location and multi-currency consolidation process
- Cash-flow monitoring and consolidation
- Implement process changes to improve quality and efficiency
- Ad-hoc project work
- Overall supervision and management of technical accounting projects
- Being the point of contact throughout the Group for technical accounting, reporting queries
- Development, maintenance and improvement of Group accounting policies in line with evolving business
- Assisting the Group Financial Controller with managing the Group’s audit processes
- Liaising with external auditors and managing the statutory audit process
- Supervision, coaching and development of 2 group accountants
- Liaison from finance and non-finance colleagues across the business, including but not limited to tax, treasury, HR etc.
