HedgerWay are currently partnered with a Global Logistics Company in the recruitment of a Systems Accountant to be based in West London.

As Systems Accountant you will lead the financial reporting processes and ensure that effective controls are in place to report accurate financial information on a timely basis to support decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing systems performance and identifying system issues
• Reviewing and maintaining all financial systems policies and procedures
• Collaborating with IT and financial staff to meet business requirements
• Troubleshooting and fixing finance-related system issues
• SAP management and reporting
• Change management e.g. PowerBI dashboards
• Training and supporting finance team members in the use of financial systems and procedures
• Managing system upgrades with the IT department
• Preparation of presentations for various reporting periods
• Ensuring focus is placed on balance sheet reconciliations and issues identified and escalated/resolved and generate a monthly report to FC on high-risk areas
• Ensure journals posted have necessary narrative and backing
• Key eye for detail and process improvements
• Support audit and statutory accounts production
• Maintain an organised documented system for financial reporting files

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and have systems development and finance systems experience. Experience of working with SAP and Oracle would be beneficial, but no essential.
