Our client is an upstream energy company incorporating traditional oil & gas along with energy transition initiatives (London based, hybrid office). The business has global interests and are now focused on a renewed period of strategic growth. As the result of an internal promotion, they are seeking to hire a Group Corporate Analyst to become part of a busy, collegiate finance team. The key purpose of the role is to develop and maintain the group’s financial model to support communicating the group's financial and operational strategies to the Board and external stakeholders including banks, M&A advisors and other counterparties.
This is a strategic position which will include regular interaction with senior leadership across finance and operational functions, enabling you to develop a deeper understanding of the industry and the energy transition which includes carbon capture storage and hydrogen. The role will involve feeding into the production of a comprehensive and high-quality business plan (short and long term), and to provide insightful and valuable financial analysis of the group's activities such as debt, M&A and other liquidity focused events.
The business is happy to support the ongoing development of your skillset on the basis that experience has so far been focused on financial / corporate modelling for the Oil & Gas industry or broader energy and natural resources. Experience may have been gained through any of the following: Corporate E&P; Management Consulting; Corporate Finance; Investment Banking; or Private Equity. A good, solid foundation in valuation modelling, transaction modelling, financing models and corporate planning activities would be hugely beneficial, along with excellent Excel skills.
