Financial Accountant

This opportunity is working for a boutique specialist insurance and reinsurance broker. The firm was created to serve large clients and those with complex or challenging risk profiles, offering tailored solutions across sectors such as marine, cargo, aviation, and aerospace. They are a young yet phenomenally successful business who are PE backed and have grown rapidly over the last 5 years, now employing over 550 people globally.

This role is for a skilled Financial Accountant who will manage the day-to-day financial control activities of the Group. This role involves maintaining accurate general ledger postings, producing timely financial reports, and supporting statutory accounts and regulatory returns. You’ll oversee cash management, banking relationships, and FX risk, while helping to implement systems and processes that support audit readiness and financial compliance. The role will also require you to work closely with senior stakeholders and external partners, including auditors and regulators, and contribute to due diligence and M&A activity when needed. 

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CPA) and have strong technical expertise in accounting covering the duties listed above. It is imperative you have excellent communication and analytical skills along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
