About the Role
We’re working with a well-established, financial services backed, market-leading UK business operating in a complex, fast-paced environment with a strong and growing customer base. With a track record of sustained growth, significant market share, and a continued focus on operational excellence and innovation, the business is now looking to appoint a Financial Controller to report directly to the CFO. This is a high-impact, highly visible role offering direct exposure to the executive team, with responsibility for leading group reporting, overseeing a sizeable finance function, and driving meaningful process and control improvements.
The role will take ownership of group financial reporting and statutory accounts under IFRS, alongside leadership of a broad finance operations function, including AP and AR. You’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders, manage both external and internal audit processes, and oversee key areas such as group funding, intercompany, and hedging. In addition to core responsibilities, you will play a central role in improving the month-end cycle, enhancing reporting quality, and leading finance transformation and efficiency initiatives across the group.
You must be a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent with strong post-qualified experience, who has operated at Financial Controller level (or similar) within a complex, multi-entity environment. You will bring strong IFRS and statutory reporting expertise, a proven track record of leading and developing teams, and a commercial mindset with the confidence to engage at senior stakeholder level. Experience within a regulated or fast-moving sector would be advantageous.
This role offers the opportunity to join a high-growth environment with a strong market position, providing direct exposure to the CFO, CEO and wider leadership team. It represents an excellent opportunity to drive change, deliver tangible impact, and step into a broad, visible role with genuine progression potential.
