As the business continues to scale, an opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Controller to join the leadership team and report directly to the CFO.

The Role

This is a broad and hands-on leadership position with responsibility for group financial control, statutory reporting, consolidations, year-end delivery and oversight of the day-to-day finance function.

Leading an established team, you will take ownership of financial reporting across a large and complex corporate structure while driving improvements in processes, controls and reporting capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the group year-end and audit process across approximately 90 legal entities.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidations.
  • Oversee statutory accounts preparation and technical accounting matters.
  • Lead and develop the finance team, including Financial Controllers and wider accounting staff.
  • Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance across the group.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, lenders and external advisers.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives, process improvements and reporting enhancements.
  • Act as a key deputy to the CFO on group finance matters.

Candidate Profile

  • ACA qualified (Big 4 or leading mid-tier background preferred).
  • Strong technical accounting and group consolidation expertise.
  • Experience managing complex corporate structures with multiple entities.
  • Proven track record leading year-end, audit and statutory reporting processes.
  • Real estate, property investment, infrastructure or asset-backed sector experience preferred.
  • Experience of Yardi or similar property accounting systems highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a high-growth real estate platform where you will play a critical role in professionalising and scaling the finance function whilst working closely with an entrepreneurial senior leadership team.
