Head of Finance - Leading UK Housebuilder

We are seeking a commercially focused Head of Finance to join a leading property developer's Surrey-based regional business. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead a team of up to seven and partner closely with the Managing Director, Commercial Director and wider operational teams to drive business performance, deliver financial insight and support strategic decision-making across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate a finance team of up to 7.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis activities across the business.
• Act as a key business partner to senior stakeholders across Commercial, Construction and Operational teams.
• Deliver insightful management reporting and challenge performance to drive profitability.
• Analyse project performance, margins, cash flow and key operational KPIs.
• Support investment appraisals, land acquisitions and strategic business initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and reporting.
• Ensure robust financial governance and compliance standards are maintained.

About You

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong background in commercial finance, FP&A and business partnering.
• Proven experience influencing senior non-finance stakeholders.
• Previous experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Strong analytical, commercial and communication skills.
• Property, construction, housebuilding or a related sector background would be advantageous.
