Financial Controller - Infrastructure Funds
A leading investor, developer and fund manager of core infrastructure assets who have already raised over £3.5bn of equity are currently looking to expand their already string fund finance team through the appointment of a fund accountant who will support growth in their fund portfolio.
The main focus of the role will be to take primary accounting responsibility for an infrastructure fund within the fund management business and will be responsible for the production of fund management information including reporting on investment performance and monitoring the introduction of new investments to ensure that investment returns are as expected or optimised. There will be involvement in investor drawdowns, distributions, equalisations and general investor reporting (quarterly), interrogation of financial models and collation of investment reports to monitor and evaluate project performance as well as financial due diligence of target investments. This opportunity will require you to liaise with the asset management team to report on asset performance and optimise investment returns as well as dealing with operational issues as well as being involved in the production of the annual fund statutory accounts and audit.
In order to be considered for this role you will need to be a qualified accountant (ideally ACA from either a Big 4 or Top 20 practice) with exposure to fund audits with it advantageous if these have been infrastructure related. You will need to be well versed in Excel and have working knowledge of financial models (macros and VBA a strong advantage). You will also need to be a innovative thinker and not fear challenging financial problems and be able to build relationships and work with the wider fund management team.
