About the Role

A leading global investment bank with a diversified product offering, is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to join its London-based Finance team. This senior role plays a pivotal part in shaping financial insight and supporting strategic decision making across the EMEA business. The position offers significant exposure to senior leadership and front office stakeholders, requiring an individual with strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of financial performance drivers within the banking sector.

In this role, you will report to the FP&A Director and have responsibility for the full FP&A cycle, including budgeting, forecasting and long term planning, while producing high quality analysis that enhances visibility of profitability, cost trends and key performance indicators. You will act as a trusted business partner to front office and functional heads, offering meaningful commercial insight that supports both day to day operations and longer-term strategic initiatives. A core aspect of the role is the production and continuous improvement of management information, including monthly reporting packs, variance analysis and KPI dashboards. You will also contribute to strategic projects, scenario modelling, capital allocation considerations and process improvements that enhance data quality and financial governance.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) and bring a strong FP&A background ideally from within investment banking or wider financial services (although this isn't essential), combined with exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills. You must be confident operating in a fast paced, regulated environment and comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders. The role requires the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations. Strong communication both written and verbal and influencing skills are essential.
