Interim Group Financial Accountant

Interim Group Accountant, 6 - 9 month contract

We are partnering with a leading multinational energy business in London to recruit an Interim Senior Group Accountant. This role offers a 6-9 month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position, providing you with wide-ranging responsibilities in a fast-changing business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle general accounting tasks for operating and corporate entities, including revenue recognition, operational matters, accruals/prepayments, and intercompany charging accounting.
• Perform journals, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures across multiple entities within the group.
• Provide support to the Group Financial Controller in consolidation and analysis.
• Assist the Group Financial Controller in addressing audit queries from the auditors for various subsidiaries.
• Support in the preparation of group accounts and supporting schedules, such as fixed assets, contract revenue, provisions, and loans analysis.
• Participate in local subsidiary statutory accounts and tax computations across the group.

Experience Requirements:

• Accounting qualification with solid knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
• Extensive experience in relevant accounting roles within a multinational corporate environment.
• Methodical, thorough, and highly organised with excellent reconciliation skills.
• Motivated with the ability to handle high work volumes effectively.
• Strong analytical skills are essential.
