Kieran Moon

Kieran Moon joins HedgerWay as Associate Director, bringing an additional 7 years’ experience to the HedgerWay portfolio. A graduate in History from the University of Chichester, Kieran began his financial services career focusing on tax specialists. After a successful 5 years he has now progressed into a wider commerce in the industry and will be specialising in Tax and Treasury appointments on a global scale.

A dedicated West Ham season ticket holder, when not supporting the Irons, you will find him in the local drinking a cold Cruz Campo.

FinTech | Global Head of Tax, London

• Brief: Due to the current incumbent leaving, the business required an experienced Head of Tax to take over a high performing team within a fast paced environment.
• Candidate Profile: Big 4 trained, “all-rounder” tax professional with management experience who had been in the trading/global markets/fintech industry for the past 15 years.

Real Estate | Head of Tax & Treasury, London

• Brief: Due to expansion into International jurisdictions, the Real Estate group required an experienced Head of Tax & Treasury to lead global operations.
• Candidate Profile: FTSE100 Tax & Treasury professional with 25 years’ experience. Qualified as a Tax specialist before assuming a dual role for the last 5 years. Background outside of Real Estate.

Banking | Tax Director, London

• Brief: Due to increase in demand, this Investment Bank required a commercial Tax Director to lead various M&A and structuring projects.
• Candidate Profile: Qualified lawyer focusing primarily on tax advisory (M&A transactions and structuring). After 5 years in practice, this candidate gained over 10 years of experience in the Banking industry before assuming a “Head of” position at a leading Investment Bank.

Insurance | Senior Tax Manager, London

• Brief: Due to business growth, the sole Head of Tax required a “number 2” to support them in all areas of tax. This would be a crucial hire should the team grow further, so Insurance experience was key due to potentially having to juggle the management junior team members.
• Candidate Profile: Big 4 trained (Insurance team), before transitioning in-house to a leading Insurance business mainly focusing on compliance/reporting. Provided a fantastic platform for moving up into a broader senior role with opportunities to participate in wider advisory projects.

RE Investment Fund | Head of Tax, London 

• Brief: Due to the current incumbent leaving, the business required a “like-for-like” replacement, meaning RE Fund experience was key. Given the compliance/reporting was outsourced, they had a strong preference for a commercial tax expert who was comfortable with fund structuring projects.
• Candidate Profile: Big 4 trained before transitioning in-house into an RE Fund for 5 years, developing within a small team. Gained strong technical skills as well as opportunities to manage junior team members and lead wider advisory projects focusing on M&A transactions and restructuring.

Private Equity | Senior Treasury Manager, London 

• Brief: Due to team growth, this PE business required a strong treasury ops person. PE experience was not a necessity as it was a mid-large team allowing the candidate to pick up sector knowledge while performing the role.
• Candidate Profile: Big 4 trained, with a European treasury background focusing on treasury operations.
